Common Questions About Essential WP Kit Support
What do Briefly and Rankly do?
Briefly builds your website by taking a description of your business and planning pages, writing copy, and placing your own photos, linking everything with a menu. Rankly prepares that website for search engines by providing titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, and a plain-English list of what to fix. Each plugin works independently, but together they share one Business Brief and one set of AI keys for efficiency.
Do I need both Briefly and Rankly?
No, neither plugin requires the other to function. You can use Briefly on its own to construct a new website, or use Rankly on an existing site you already manage. Using them together offers the benefit of sharing your Business Brief and AI keys, which can save time during the website creation and optimisation process.
Are the free versions of Briefly and Rankly complete tools?
Yes, both Briefly and Rankly are available as free WordPress plugins that function as complete tools, not as limited trials. The Pro add-ons for each plugin are designed for users who require additional designs, larger site builds, or more automated features. The free versions offer a substantial set of capabilities for most users.
Do I need my own AI key to use these plugins?
Briefly requires your own AI key, or an AI provider configured in WordPress 7.0 or later under Settings > Connectors. Rankly can operate without an AI key. You select your preferred AI provider from options like OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter, and you pay that provider directly for their services. Essential WP Kit does not sell credits or add any markup. Google Gemini offers a free tier, which is sufficient for getting started.
